The Hope of the Future
《未来的希望》是北京交响乐团打造的品牌活动项目，目的是为具有音乐天赋的少年提供展示平台，过去的两年，北京交响乐团以两场别开生面的音乐会点亮了天才少年的梦想。活动通过线上选拔、现场面试、大师工作坊、与职业乐团合排到舞台演奏，为小演奏家们铺就了一条通往职业舞台的星光之路。
The Hope of the Future is a flagship event presented by the Beijing Symphony Orchestra, designed to provide a showcase platform for young musicians with exceptional musical talent. Over the past two years, the Beijing Symphony Orchestra has staged two spectacular concerts that have illuminated the dreams of gifted young artists. Through online auditions, live interviews, master workshops, rehearsals with a professional orchestra, and stage performances, the program has paved a promising path to a professional stage for young virtuosos.

今年，第三届《未来的希望》即将华彩启幕，活动在首届全国选拔、第二届亚洲范围选拔的基础上再度升级，成为面向全球选拔的世界音乐少年的盛会，怀抱音乐梦想的琴童皆可竞逐参选。最终脱颖而出的新星将齐聚北京，6月2日让我们相聚在中山音乐堂，共享艺术的光辉。
This year, the 3nd The Hope of the Future is set to kick off in splendid fashion. Building on the first edition’s national selection and the second edition’s Asia-wide search, the event has been further upgraded to a global gala for young musical talents worldwide. All young musicians with musical dreams are welcome to compete. The outstanding rising stars selected will gather in Beijing, and we look forward to gathering with you at the Forbidden City Concert Hall on June 2nd to share the radiance of the arts.

Event Highlights
1.面向全球各地（含国内、港澳台及海外各国）选拔4-6位具有极高演奏天赋的少年，以特邀独奏身份与北京交响乐团合作演出；
2.邀请著名指挥家夏小汤先生执棒本场音乐会；
3.整体活动将由多家媒体进行全方位宣传报道及现场直播；
4.音乐会将进行专业音视频资料录制，并颁发纪念证书。
1.A global search will be conducted to select 4–6 exceptionally talented young musicians to perform as guest soloists with the Beijing Symphony Orchestra.2.
2.Renowned conductor Mr. Xia Xiaotang will lead the concert.
3.The event will receive comprehensive media coverage and live streaming by multiple media outlets.
4.Professional audio and video recordings of the concert will be produced, and commemorative certificates will be awarded.

The opportunity to be appointed as a Guest Soloist of the Junior Symphony Orchestra Affiliated to the Beijing Symphony Orchestra.

[ 如何参与 ]
How to Participate
报名选手不分国籍，年龄在16周岁以下（2010年6月1日后出生），具有较高的演奏能力；
初选：报名选手以提交视频的方式参加初选，视频内容为自选曲目1首（15分钟内），可演奏作品片段（需包含慢板及快板部分），提交的视频文件需为横屏录制，画面及音质清晰；
即日起至5月6日期间提交报名表（详见附件）、视频相关资料至指定邮箱bysomusic@163.com（邮件名称为“未来的希望+乐器+姓名+曲目名称” ）；
经乐团专家评审后，于5月10日在北京交响乐团官方微信公众号发布复选名单；
复选：拟定于2026年5月20日前安排现场面试（复选细则另行通知），一经录用即可受邀作为特邀独奏参加于6月2日在中山音乐堂举办的第三届《未来的希望》儿童节特别策划音乐会；
活动及演出：最终入围选手将参加本次活动的大师工作坊、排练及演出，乐团将承担获选演奏者（京外）往返高铁/机票及在京期间住宿；
参选专业：小提琴、中提琴、大提琴、单簧管、双簧管、巴松、小号、圆号、长号、竖琴、打击乐。
Eligibility: Participants of all nationalities, aged 16 or younger (born on or after June 1, 2010), with advanced performing skills.
Preliminary Round: Candidates shall submit a video for the preliminary round, featuring one self-selected piece (within 15 minutes). Excerpts are acceptable, provided they include both slow and fast movements. Videos must be recorded in landscape mode with clear visuals and sound quality.
Application Period: From now until May 6, submit the completed application form (see attachment) and video materials to the designated email: bysomusic@163.com.Email subject format: The Hope of the Future + Instrument + Full Name + Piece Title.
Following evaluation by the orchestra’s expert panel, the list of finalists will be released on the official WeChat account of the Beijing Symphony Orchestra on May 10.
Final Round: Live auditions are scheduled to be held on or before May 20, 2026 (detailed guidelines to be announced separately). Selected candidates will be invited as guest soloists to perform at the 3rd The Hope of the Future Special Children’s Day Concert at the Forbidden City Concert Hall on June 2.
Events & Performances: Finalists will participate in master workshops, rehearsals, and the concert. For selected performers from outside Beijing, the orchestra will cover the cost of round-trip high-speed rail tickets or flights, as well as accommodation in Beijing, for selected performers from outside Beijing.
Disciplines: Violin, Viola, Cello, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Harp, Percussion.
